The Big City Woof Walker is owned by Dani Pedraza, a Catch Certified Dog Trainer (CCDT), and Maren Lavelle, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed and a Pat Miller Certified Trainer - Level 1 (CPDT-KA, PMCT 1). Dani & Maren first started working together as dog walkers for a local pet service in New York City’s Financial District. In 2017, they became partners and established The Big City Woof Walker, a dog walking, pet sitting, and training service in NYC and Chicago. Working professionally with dogs for over a decade sparked their desire to become certified dog trainers.

Maren has studied with Pat Miller, a renowned Positive Reinforcement dog trainer, and graduated from Pat Miller's Level 1 (Canine Behavior and Training), Level 2 (Behavior Modification), and Level 3 (Aggression) academies. Dani graduated from CATCH Canine Trainer Academy's Masters Program and is now a CATCH Mentor. As Positive Reinforcement dog trainers, they use science-based force-free ethical training methods, to ensure clients’ dogs are always actively participating in and consenting to their training program.
